The Project
Graham Ellis Associates have extensive experience in working with major financial institutions including Lloyds Bank, the Chemical Bank and Barclays Bank. The type of work can range from the fitting out of bespoke offices to the Client’s Specification altering and refurbishing existing Bank premises, sometimes whilst in occupation, to complete new Bank redevelopment schemes including Banking Halls, Offices, and Staff Facilities etc.
GEA have successfully completed a number of fitting out and refurbishment contracts from Lloyds Bank Eastern region including the fitting out the Area Directors Office in Bishop’s Stortford which was carried out over a 10 week period and included the fitting out of premises to our Client’s specification including finishing’s, mechanical and electrical installations.
In addition, a number of major alteration and refurbishment contracts have been carried out in Bank premises when the banks are carrying out their normal business arrangements. This requires a sensitivity of approach in dealing with Construction works when the Banks customers are in occupation of the building.
As an example, GEA were involved in the alteration and refurbishment works at Lloyds Sawbridgeworth Branch.
The works involved the demolition and alterations to the existing structure, complete refurbishment of the existing Bank premises whilst in occupation, Refitting Banking Hall with new offices, Staff Room etc at first floor level, Co coordinating and fitting out the premises to the Clients specification including finishing trades and a complete new Mechanical and Electrical Installation.
GEA have also provided CDM Co Ordinator Services implementing the requirements of CDM Regulations 2014

GEA work as part of a team and have forged strong links with the Banks, Financial Institutions and Building Societies working as Cost Consultants and Quantity Surveyors as part of the design team with the other appointed Consultants.
Contract Value: £500,000
The project was delivered to the Client on time, within budget with an excellent finish.
